Carolina Fitness Equipment is expanding its Service Department. The Service Technician plays a crucial role in our organization by ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of fitness equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing technical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and delivering exceptional customer service during on-site visits. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently to resolve complex problems. PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of fitness equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including electrical and mechanical faults
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment
  • Provide excellent customer service during on-site visits and through effective communication
  • Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
  • Collaborate with the service team to resolve complex technical issues


CAPABILITIES/KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role is desired, but not required
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze technical problems.
  • Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
  • Must be proficient in using hand tools and a multimeter
  • Prior experience in the Fitness Industry is beneficial but not essential
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday
  • Occasional Saturday availability may be necessary



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Capability to lift and move heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks associated with delivery and installation duties
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, long days are expected as needed
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift and move heavy items at least 100 lbs (carts and dollies available when needed)
  • Must have or be able to obtain basic tools for the position
