  First off, I need to say that the customer service of the folks at Carolina Fitness has always been excellent. They are very friendly and eager to assist and they are and will remain my first stop when I shop locally for any fitness related equipment. I purchased the 20kg version of this barbell at the Asheville location in October of 2017. I was relatively new to weight lifting and knew very little about it. Before making the purchase, I did do a fair amount of research and could find very little about about this bar/brand. To be honest, I almost did not purchase based strictly on the lack of information available but due to the quality of customer service I did end up taking the plunge. I can't say that I regret that decision but I will say that I do not recommend this bar. I have since used far better bars available from other brands at comparable and lower pricing. My main issues have been that while I was told this would be an excellent bar for Powerlifting, it has a ton of whip to it, the knurl is very very light, and the with the sleeves having roller bearings, it can spin too much creating balance issues. As a bar for Olympic lifts and or Crossfit, it does shine a bit more but still has too much whip for my tastes; and again I go back to better quality for the same pricing being available on the market. The only real stand out positive that I can give this bar is that it has been stored and used in a non-temperature controlled environment for almost 4 months and it has not shown a single sign of corrosion. This isn't a dig, or a negative against Carolina Fitness or Strencor. In my opinion the bar itself is a dud but I wouldn't hesitate to purchase CF or Strencor equipment in the future. (and just as soon as they get their Kettlebells back in stock, I'll be driving to the Asheville location).
